One day the lady of the house bought home a coffee pot made of bright and shiny silver. It was a beautiful coffee pot.
The lady of the house took it out of the pretty box it came in and placed it on the kitchen table.
It was a tall coffee pot with a lovely curve on the spout and a lovely handle that looked like it was engraved by a master carver. It also had a silver lid that would lift up to pour the hot water and coffee in.
See the sunlight sparkle off the shiny coffee pot. He was a very proud coffee pot.
Every morning the lady of the house would make a pot of coffee in the silver coffee pot. After the lady finished her coffee, she would clean the coffee pot and put him on the shelf.
One day, the lady of the house bought home a lovely crystal vase and put
some very pretty flowers in the vase with some water.
"Oh my" the coffee pot thought. "What beautiful flowers. I wish I was a vase so I could have some beautiful flowers too".

The dim light he had seen as he charged through the tunnel after the monster could now be identified: torches. Rows of mysteriously lit torches lined the walls of the huge cave. At its center was a substantially large labyrinth of mirrors.
He spotted the beast entering.
He spun his silver broadsword in his hand and hurried in behind it.
His garb was a simple blue and white crusader's leather with thick armored pads and reinforcing steel studs. Lightweight and flexible, but quite effective defense against blunt blows and – in a pinch – the slashing claws of the unholy spawn of the earth. All monster-hunters wore a similar variety in Val's experience. It would serve him well in these close quarters of the mirrored maze.
